The Popups page, overview

Learn where popups live in Pulse and how they help capture email, phone, and custom contact data from your storefront.

April 20, 2026

A popup is how you turn an anonymous website visitor into a contact you can actually message, capturing their email, phone number, or other details directly from your storefront. This article covers where popups live inside Pulse.

Where to find it

Click Popups in your sidebar. The subtitle explains the purpose directly: "Capture email, phone, and custom contact data from embedded website popups."

This is one of the main ways new contacts enter your Pulse workspace in the first place, tying directly into the list-growth ideas covered in the Email Marketing documentation.

Creating your first popup

Click + Create popup in the top-right corner.

If you haven't built one yet, you'll see an empty state instead of a blank list: "No popups yet," with the note "Create your first popup to start capturing leads on your website," and a Create popup button right there to get started.

What happens next

Clicking Create popup takes you into the popup builder, a dedicated design tool where you choose your popup's type, design its appearance, and decide what information you're asking visitors for.

The popup builder is covered in detail in the next article.

Why popups matter alongside your other channels

Email, Push, and WhatsApp automations are only as good as the contact list feeding them.

Popups are one of the most direct ways to grow that list, since they capture a visitor's interest at the exact moment they're already on your site, rather than relying entirely on customers finding you elsewhere and choosing to subscribe on their own.
