Your product catalog
Understand how Pulse stores and uses your synced product catalog for campaigns, automations, pricing, inventory, and recommendations.
April 20, 2026
Every dynamic product block, live price, and stock alert you've read about in the Email, Push, and WhatsApp documentation comes from one place: your product catalog. This is where that data actually lives inside Pulse.
Where to find it
Click Products in your sidebar. The subtitle explains it clearly: "Browse synced catalog data, variants, inventory, pricing, and product performance signals."
This page is essentially a mirror of your store's catalog, kept inside Pulse so your campaigns and automations always have accurate, up-to-date product information to pull from.
Getting products in
Three buttons in the top-right handle this:
- Sync products — pulls your catalog automatically from your connected store
- Import — lets you bring products in via a file instead
- + Add product — add a single product manually, useful for a one-off addition rather than a full sync
Understanding your six catalog stats
- Total products — how many products exist in your catalog, along with how many are currently active
- Total inventory — your total stock count across your loaded catalog
- Out of stock — how many products currently have no inventory left. "Catalog healthy" is shown when this number is low, a quick visual cue that nothing urgent needs attention
- Average price — the average price across your priced products
- Discounted SKUs — how many product variants currently have a compare-at (discounted) price set
- Last synced — when your catalog was last pulled from your store, showing "Not synced yet" until you've connected a store
Filtering your catalog
Five tabs let you narrow your view: All, Active, Inactive, Out of stock, and Draft, each with its own count.
Below that, a search bar lets you look up a product by name, vendor, tag, or handle, alongside dropdowns to filter by product type and sort order, like "Recently updated", plus a Filters button for narrowing further.
Why this page matters, even if you never open it again
You won't need to visit the Products page often day-to-day, but it's what quietly powers a lot of what makes Pulse's messages feel personalized rather than generic:
- Dynamic product blocks in emails pull real names, images, and prices from here
- Back In Stock and Price Drop automations rely on this data changing to know when to trigger
- Product recommendations in campaigns are built from this catalog, not a static list you'd have to update by hand
Getting started if your catalog is empty
If you haven't connected a store yet, you'll see an empty state: "No products synced yet", with a note that connecting your commerce catalog or importing products is what enables campaigns, automations, and product blocks to actually use real product data.
Three buttons make the next step clear:
- Sync products — if you've already connected a store during setup, this pulls the catalog in
- Import CSV — bring products in from a file
- Connect store — if you skipped store connection during onboarding, this takes you back to complete it
A quick habit worth building
After your first sync, it's worth a quick glance at your Out of stock and Discounted SKUs numbers occasionally.
A rising Out of stock count is exactly what feeds your Back In Stock automation, and Discounted SKUs is what makes Price Drop alerts possible, so keeping an eye on these connects directly to how well those automations perform.
