Audience & lifecycle, deliverability quality, and automations
Learn how to read audience growth, deliverability quality, and automation performance in the lower half of Pulse Analytics.
April 20, 2026
Continuing from Article 1, this covers the lower half of the Analytics page, everything about your audience, your email quality, and how your automations are performing.
Audience & lifecycle
This section explains "how your audience is growing and retaining across the period," with four summary cards:
- Total contacts
- Net growth
- Churn rate
- Reachable audience
Below that, Audience net growth and Acquisition sources are both charts. Clear empty-state explanations, such as "Audience growth will appear when contact lifecycle events are recorded," are shown until there's enough activity to display meaningful data.
A Segment health table lists your segments with columns for Segment, Contacts, Growth, Email Subscribed, and Push Subscribed.
This lets you compare how your different audience groups are trending side by side, rather than checking each segment individually from the Segmentation page.
Email & deliverability quality
This section focuses on "inbox health and engagement quality, measured against industry benchmarks."
Five cards show your numbers alongside industry averages for additional context:
| Metric | What it measures | Industry avg shown |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery rate | How many emails actually got delivered | 95% |
| Open rate | How many delivered emails were opened | 22% |
| Unique click rate | How many recipients clicked at least once | 2.6% |
| Unsubscribe rate | How many opted out | 0.2% |
| Spam complaint rate | How many marked your email as spam | 0.02% |
Having these industry benchmarks shown directly alongside your own numbers is useful because it gives you concrete context. For example, a 15% open rate might feel disappointing on its own, but comparing it to a 22% industry average shows how much room there is to improve.
Three more views sit below:
- Open rate by hour — a chart showing which hours of the day get the strongest opens, helping you find your best windows for send timing once enough data exists
- Opens by device — breaks down opens by the device type used
- Most-clicked links — a table with columns for Link, Clicks, Period, and Unique Clicks, showing exactly which links inside your emails are getting the most attention
Automations
The final section covers "always-on lifecycle flows: enrollment, completion, and the revenue they drive."
Four summary cards provide a quick overview:
- Enrollments — how many contacts have entered your automations
- Completion rate — what percentage make it all the way through
- Active now — how many contacts are currently mid-flow
- Revenue attributed — revenue traced back specifically to automations
Below that, an Automation performance table with columns for Automation, Enrolled, Conversion, and Revenue lets you compare individual automations directly.
A Conversion funnel chart shows step-by-step movement through your flows, described as showing "flow step conversion... once contacts move through an automation."
How this page connects to everything else
This Analytics page is effectively where every other part of Pulse reports back to.
Your Campaigns, Automations, Segments, and email deliverability all surface here in one place.
If you've read "Keeping your deliverability healthy" or "Making sense of your campaign performance," this page is where you'll actually find the specific numbers those articles talk about interpreting.
